South High Students Volunteer at the Ballpark for Service Day
Posted: October 21, 2024
On Wednesday, October 16, 10 students from Sheboygan South High School spent their school-wide service day at Wildwood Baseball Park, lending a helping hand to prepare for the off-season. From 9am to 2pm, the students worked hard winterizing the ballpark, moving furniture, removing fence caps, cleaning garbage cans, and cleaning up the concession stand. They also pulled weeds, edged the sidewalk, swept the seating areas, and moved the batting cage off the grass.
This marks the second time South High has partnered with the Sheboygan Athletic Club for a service day, with a previous group volunteering in May of 2024. Some students who had attended Sheboygan A’s games in the past enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes look at the ballpark, asking questions, and even expressing interest in future volunteer opportunities.
The Sheboygan Athletic Club is grateful for their hard work and proud of our ongoing partnership with South High, helping foster community involvement with local youth.
